At St Patrick’s, we are lucky to have an amazing group of students that come from many varied cultural backgrounds.
From our South Sudanese to our Myanmar and Sikh communities and many, many more, we are delighted to see the wonderful friendships and lifelong bonds that students make at our school.
We are a community of faith filled people, who hold dear the values of Respect, Safety, Co- operation, Resilience and Courage. We listen to the Christian story and discuss how these stories can relate to the issues being faced by our students today.
At St Patrick’s, we have a dedicated staff who support and encourage our students and each other. Working as a team, we see the value in combining our talents and efforts to ensure the students are our number one priority and who are developing a passion for learning and a desire to be a responsible and a hardworking member of society.
St Patrick’s specialist subjects are DigiTech, Performing Arts, Physical Education and Visual Arts and we learn the Italian language. The school runs speech programs with a qualified Speech Pathologist and Education Support Officers who are trained as Speech Therapy Assistants who work with our students in implementing the speech programs.
We run Literacy intervention programs, and we offer Counselling and Psychological services free of charge for our families. There are qualified staff in Student Wellbeing who are dedicated to the cause of working with students with additional needs as well as supporting the teachers and families in ensuring success for all.
St Patrick's has designated Myanmar and African community Liaison officers, as well as an EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher who is dedicated to our families and students who hold English as their second language.
We also have a dedicated teacher who works with both teachers and students around any mental health concerns.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Patrick's.
Take care and God Bless,
Meg Escalante
